Area HSE Manager

Summary

The Area Safety, Health & Environment Manager promotes the Company's IIF culture by ensuring every co-worker returns home safely every night. They are expected to spend a minimum of 70% of time in the field observing and coaching co-workers and other safety professionals on correction of unsafe conditions and behaviors. They reinforce positive behavior through recognition and/or rewards, serve as a resource to co-workers by answering questions about safety and sharing lessons learned, and use leading indicators to influence the future direction of safety in the project.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Promotes the Company's IIF Culture by Being a Safety Resource to the BURG
• Affirms in Project Compliance with all Safety Rules and Regulations
• Responsible for Case Management
• Directs and/or Oversees the Work of Staff
• Ensures a Safe Work Environment
• Participates in Training/Certifications

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of a certificate in a related field, or construction experience with OSHA 500 training certification
• Minimum of 7 years of construction experience, or a minimum of 5 years of construction safety experience (including Internship)
