Area Director of Leisure Sales, Northeast
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth in the leisure market.
- Lead and mentor a team of leisure sales professionals, setting clear targets and expectations.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering exceptional service.
About the Role
The Area Director of Leisure Sales, Northeast, will lead sales strategy and revenue growth across four luxury resort properties (Wildflower, White Barn, Vanderbilt, and Mayflower), with a primary focus on the travel industry, including luxury travel advisors, consortia, wholesalers, and strategic leisure partnerships. In addition to leading leisure sales efforts, this role serves as the commercial lead for all transient business channels, driving performance across leisure, retail, negotiated, and other transient segments through close partnership with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities.
- Passion for the leisure industry and a customer-centric mindset.
- Travel is required.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in sales leadership roles within the hospitality industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Skills: Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
