Responsibilities
- Cook up daily construction activities within an assigned area, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules.
- Act as a field liaison between contractors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and project management.
- Track installation progress and provide regular updates on construction status, constraints, and risks.
- Support lookahead planning (2-week / 6-week schedules) and assist in identifying potential schedule impacts.
- Maintain contractor performance, manpower levels, and work sequencing within the assigned area.
- Identify and escalate field issues, including design conflicts, material shortages, and installation challenges.
- Aid in resolving RFIs (Requests for Information) and coordinate with engineering teams to clarify design intent.
- Participate in daily/weekly coordination meetings, safety briefings, and progress reviews.
- Ensure work is performed in compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Support system turnover and commissioning activities by coordinating punch list completion and readiness.
- Maintain accurate field documentation, including daily reports, issue logs, and progress tracking tools.
- Promote and enforce Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards across all site activities.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in construction coordination, field engineering, or similar role (internship experience considered).
- Experience in industrial, high-tech, or semiconductor construction environments is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and field coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (P&IDs, layouts, electrical/mechanical plans).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills with both technical teams and field personnel.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and escalate issues proactively.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and field coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (P&IDs, layouts, electrical/mechanical plans).
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), is required, however, Journeyman level trade experience will be applicable.
- Proof of education, licenses, and certifications will be required where applicable.
