This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Area Accountant based in the United States. This role offers an opportunity to support financial accuracy, operational performance, and business decision-making within a large-scale organization. As an Area Accountant, you will apply accounting expertise to analyze financial information, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with established accounting standards and internal controls. You will collaborate with operational leaders, accounting teams, and corporate stakeholders to provide valuable financial insights and support business growth. The position combines technical accounting skills with problem-solving, organization, and cross-functional collaboration. Accountabilities Prepare, analyze, and record financial information, including journal entries and documentation of business transactions.Develop monthly and quarterly operational performance reports while applying sound accounting judgment and attention to detail.Support the maintenance of internal controls, accounting policies, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards.Reconcile balance sheet accounts, analyze financial statements, and ensure accuracy in accordance with GAAP and company policies.Review and analyze financial trends, statistical data, and operational metrics to support business performance.Assist with accounting operations across areas such as invoice processing, billing, cash receipts, collections, payroll, journal entries, and month-end close activities.Support annual budgeting, forecasting activities, and financial analysis processes.Provide accounting support related to capital expenditures, asset transfers, and retirements.Assist with internal audits, external audits, and financial review processes.Respond to financial information requests from corporate teams and operational stakeholders, including accounting, tax, treasury, IT, HR, sales, and legal teams.Provide guidance and support to accounting staff when needed.Complete additional accounting and administrative responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Accounting experience with a strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their practical application.Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze and manage financial data.Experience with general ledger systems and accounting software commonly used in the industry.Experience with Oracle accounting software is preferred.Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate issues, identify solutions, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.Demonstrated initiative, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy.Ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
