Architectural Specifications Writer - Remote (LSNA-PA/OH/IN/NC)

We are looking for a driven, well-organized Architectural Specifications Writer to grow with our team. As an Architectural Specifications Writer (Remote or Hybrid), you will develop project specifications and provide technical advice to architecture teams throughout the design and construction process.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working on large-scale, technically complex, multi-phase projects, specifying both interiors and exteriors, with exceptional communication skills and writing abilities, and a desire to be an effective collaborator and contributor to multiple project teams. You will also develop and maintain relationships with product representatives, act as a resource for teams to connect them with manufacturers, and assist teams with product and system research.

Responsibilities
- Develop project specifications for large-scale, technically complex, multi-phase projects.
- Provide technical advice to architecture teams throughout the design and construction process.
- Specify both interiors and exteriors for projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with product representatives.
- Act as a resource for teams to connect them with manufacturers.
- Assist teams with product and system research.
- Support architectural teams on Life Sciences projects, particularly pharmaceutical manufacturing projects, from design through construction.
- Assist with construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
- Coordinate within a multi-disciplinary team structure, including engaging virtually with team members in different geographic locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Architecture school.
- Minimum of 10 years of applicable professional experience with at least 5 years of experience in specifications development.
- Focus on Life Sciences projects, specifically pharmaceutical manufacturing projects.
- Technical knowledge with a solid understanding of construction detailing and constructability.
- Command of building codes and other regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with MS Teams, MS Office applications (OneNote, Word, Excel, etc.), and Bluebeam Revu.
- United States Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry standards and cGMP requirements.
- Experience with Deltek AIA MasterSpec.
- Experience with LEED and/or other sustainable certification systems.
- Professional architecture degree.
- Registered Architect with current license.
- Familiarity with Revit.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office (fully remote may also be considered).
- Familiarity with Navisworks and Revizto.
- LEED AP or Green Associate credential.
- CSI CDT or CCS certification.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $110,600.00 to $185,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
