Architectural Engineering Technology Adjunct

Responsibilities

The Division of Engineering, Business, and Public Services at Brightpoint Community College augments full-time teaching faculty with qualified part-time instructors to enhance the student learning process. Teach all aspects of properties of construction materials and related testing procedures for technicians. Teach all aspects of CAD software as applied to residential and commercial buildings. Both broad content areas involve classroom and laboratory instruction. Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Two years of related work experience
• Ability to use instructional technologies
• Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communications skills
• Successful completion and passing of a criminal background check is required

Additional Considerations

• Materials testing certification
• Autodesk Certified User
• Operation of a State Vehicle
