About the Role
As an Architectural Designer at Journey, you'll have the opportunity to learn by doing. Working across a diverse range of projects alongside a collaborative team, you'll build new skills, contribute to meaningful design work, and gain exposure to every stage of the creative process. We're looking for someone who's curious, thoughtful, and excited to grow. Bring fresh ideas, ask questions, share your perspective, and don't be afraid to challenge the expected. You'll collaborate with designers, strategists, clients, consultants, and fabricators to help develop design concepts and bring them to life with creativity, care, rigor, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior designers to conceptualize and develop design schemes for projects.
- Actively contribute to design and documentation of projects through all project phases under the direction of more senior members.
- Participate in client meetings and craft elaborate client presentations to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Conduct research on materials, products, and trends to inform design decisions.
- Create and produce detailed models and design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD under the direction of more senior members.
- Select and specify architectural finishes.
- Design, detail, and specify custom FF&E.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Qualifications
- B.Arch or B.S in Architecture or related field from an accredited school.
- Minimum 2 years of post-graduate design experience in an architectural and/or interior design studio.
Skills
- Strong Revit, Enscape, and AutoCAD skills.
- Ability to model in 3DS Max, Rhino, or Revit.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers across the studios.
Location & Schedule
This opportunity is located at our Broadway Studio in New York. This position involves a hybrid work arrangement, incorporating both a 2-day remote and a 3-day in-person commitment in our New York studio. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM-6:30 PM.

Pay
Salary Range: $65,000-$75,000
