About the role
CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking two Architectural Designers to join our Architecture & Structural Team in Portland, ME.
Responsibilities
- Develop design and construction documents throughout all project phases using Revit and BIM/CAD platforms
- Create 3D models, renderings, and visualizations that communicate design intent
- Prepare drawings, details, schedules, and specifications that support project execution
- Apply architectural design principles, building codes, and technical standards to project solutions
- Research materials and building systems to support design development and detailing
- Collaborate with project teams and consultants through design reviews and coordination efforts
- Support BIM coordination, clash detection, and model development
- Assist with construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and field observations
- Maintain accurate project documentation throughout project delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of professional architectural experience required
- Proficiency with Revit required
- Strong theoretical knowledge of architecture and building design principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment with a willingness to support and learn from senior-level architects
- Ability to travel to project sites or other offices as needed preferred
Qualifications
- Experience with BIM and CAD platforms
- Knowledge of building codes and technical standards
- Ability to create detailed and visually appealing designs
- Strong organizational and time management skills
