Responsibilities
- Research, assess, plan, and assist in the design of a variety of building projects
- Prepare architectural drawings, models, presentations, and construction documents from schematic design through construction administration
- Cookinate architectural work with in-house civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineering teams
- Collaborate with project architects, project managers, consultants, and clients to support project goals, schedules, and deliverables
- Conduct and document site visits and existing-conditions assessments
- Assist with construction administration, including reviewing submittals, substitution requests, and requests for information
- Apply applicable building codes, accessibility standards, and construction requirements throughout the design process
- Manage multiple assignments while communicating questions, conflicts, and schedule concerns to the project team
Requirements
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, project managers, consultants, and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
- Three to five years of professional experience in an architectural or multidisciplinary design firm
- Working knowledge of building codes, accessibility standards, building construction, materials, and structural systems
- Proficiency in Revit; experience with AutoCAD and other architectural design or visualization software is also valued
- Experience preparing and coordinating construction documents
- Strong design, technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities and meet project deadlines
- Interest in continued professional development and progress toward architectural licensure
