Arcade/Bowling Mechanic Associate

About the role

The Technician oversees, maintains, and repairs arcade machines and bowling machines.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to customer complaints of machine malfunction; analyzes the mechanism to find the root of the problem.
  • Aid the Facility Manager with the installation, maintenance, and repairs of both mechanical and circuitry issues in the arcade games and/or bowling machines.
  • Identify the most common problems with components such as controls and audio systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Keep a clean and organized workshop.
  • Work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays, as well as overtime to support business needs.

Requirements

  • Must hold a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Open availability, especially nights and weekends are preferred.
  • 1 hour of time playing non-prize arcade games per week.
  • 90 minutes of bowling per week (shoes included).
  • 1 hour of karaoke/billiards per week.
  • 50% discount on food items per working shift.
  • Free beverage per working shift.

Education and/or Experience

  • Two-year related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Bend, stretch, twist, climb, and have a high level of mobility/flexibility in small spaces.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time without breaks during busy times.
  • Use hands and arms to handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Lift and/or move up to 100 lbs with assistance.
