Arbitration Coordinator

Job level: Individual Contributor. Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. This range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.

Responsibilities

• Review, research, analyze, and prepare files for claims arbitration.
• Make decisions within limits of authority regarding settlement negotiations prior to the arbitration hearing.
• Conduct workshops and presentations to promote the arbitration process through visitations to field claim branches, schools, and seminars.
• Advise claim branch personnel on arbitration procedures and decisions.

Requirements

• Superior communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Knowledge of insurance policy coverages and claims procedures
• Capacity to possess a thorough working knowledge of legal research techniques
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
