AP/AR Clerk Location: Derby, CT Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary / Contract Pay: $24/hour We are currently working with an established manufacturing company in the Derby area that is seeking an AP/AR Clerk to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a great opportunity for someone with general office and accounting experience who is looking for a hands-on role with a stable organization. About The Role The AP/AR Clerk will support both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, along with general administrative and accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, comfortable communicating with customers and vendors, and able to stay on top of follow-up. Responsibilities Receive and process invoices by mail and emailMatch invoices with receiving documentation and enter invoices into the accounting systemPrepare and send customer invoices and monthly statementsFollow up with customers regarding outstanding balances and collectionsMonitor customer accounts and assist with placing accounts on credit hold when necessaryRun weekly accounting and receivables reportsCommunicate regularly with customers and vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questionsAssist with closing out completed jobs, including both accounting and production-related informationMaintain accurate accounting records and documentationAssist with additional administrative and accounting projects as needed Qualifications General office experience with the ability to handle basic accounting functionsPrior accounts payable and accounts receivable experienceStrong communication and follow-up skillsGood attention to detail and organizationReliable and dependable with a strong work ethicComfortable communicating with customers and vendorsAbility to manage multiple tasks and stay on top of deadlinesInterest in a long-term opportunity Preferred Qualifications Bookkeeping experienceExperience working with an ERP or accounting systemManufacturing or other industry experience #APARClerk #AccountsPayable #AccountsReceivable #AccountingJobs #FinanceJobs #BookkeepingJobs #OfficeJobs #ManufacturingJobs #HiringNow #CareerOpportunity
