Aquatics Coordinator
About the role
The Aquatics Coordinator position at the Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness center, managed by HealthFitness, is a full-time role with PTO and benefits. The role involves overseeing the lifeguard team, assisting with aquatic staff management, and performing various responsibilities including lifeguarding and facility maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, training, and scheduling of Aquatic Staff (Lifeguards)
- Serving as a representative for the Aquatic Program, answering patron questions, and directing patrons to appropriate staff
- Interpreting and assisting in the enforcement of policies and procedures of the Aquatic Department
- Assisting with facility maintenance and cleaning
- Assisting aquatic management with current projects
- Performing other duties as needed/assigned
Requirements
- A High School Diploma/GED
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
- A minimum of 2 years of combined experience in Aquatics, preferably in some type of leadership capacity
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience developing, implementing and managing community activities and events
- Ability to obtain American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor (LGI) certification and Certified Pool Operation (CPO) within 6 months of hire
- Computer proficiency in MS Office including at minimum Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems required
Qualifications
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Recreation or related field
- Ability to be a positive role model for staff and patrons
- Must be self-motivated, able to stay on task with minimal supervision
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and complete assigned tasks

Pay
$23.00-$25.00 per hour. Pay is dependent on experience and qualifications.
