About the role

As a HVAC Technician Apprentice, you will assist seasoned Service Technicians in the installation and repair of environmental control systems, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts. This field-based role is conducted on-site at customer locations.

The program includes paid instruction time, on-the-job training, dedicated mentors, regular pay increases, and a nationally recognized industry credential upon completion, leading to promotion to HVAC Service Technician.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction by servicing products, equipment, and systems at customer locations, including identifying, examining, diagnosing, and planning for equipment repair.
• Collaborate with supervising field technicians, project managers, and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations, including forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing work.
• Use cutting-edge software, hand-tools, and blueprints/engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets.

Requirements

• No industry experience required.
• Technical school certificates and/or formal HVAC training/experience are not required but may influence proficiency level and starting compensation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations in the last 3 years.
• A strong desire to learn a trade and directly impact the world around you.

Pay

Hourly base pay range: $18.36 - $34.63. Compensation is tailored to factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
