About the role

Village Nissan, a proud member of Drive Autogroup, is seeking an apprentice technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, a desire to perform quality repairs, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and maintenance repairs on customer-owned vehicles as assigned on the repair order, addressing customer concerns and adhering to Nissan Canada’s maintenance schedule.
• Perform repairs on company-owned vehicles (new, used, and service vehicles) as designated on the work order.
• Perform warranty repairs in compliance with warranty policies.
• Road test vehicles after repairs to ensure proper completion and alignment with customer concerns on the work order.
• Discuss repair-related issues with service management.
• Inform the Service Manager or Service Advisor of any additional needed or advised repairs.
• Attend all requested training courses, department, and dealership meetings.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, shop, and equipment.
• Follow all safety rules and work accordingly.
• Sign out essential tools, return them to their proper place, and keep the storage area neat.
• Refer all customer inquiries to a Service Consultant, ensuring courteous and helpful interactions.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract.
• High level of enthusiasm and activity related to service work, with a willingness to share knowledge.
• Ability to diagnose service problems and plan repairs to minimize guesswork.
