Apprentice Technician
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are ready to advance their career within the automotive industry. The Modern Apprenticeship Programmes allow apprentices to work full time and earn while they learn putting theory into practice within a training environment.
Responsibilities
- Based within the garage workshop
- Involved in learning all aspects of vehicle repair and maintenance, including vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, removal, replacement and overhaul of major components and electrical fault diagnostics.
Requirements
- Must have or expect to gain National 4 or above in English, Maths, and either a Science or Technical Subject.
- A full UK Driving licence is not essential but preferred.

- Willingness to work in a practical environment using your own initiative.
- Dedicated and proactive approach to work and learning.
- Prioritisation and working to timelines.
Benefits
Regular assessment and reviews will be undertaken within the apprentice's own workplace with dedicated mentors from GTG and the apprentice’s workplace, which aims to ensure they have the required skills to successfully complete their apprenticeship. During the 3 year apprenticeship, candidates will train through GTG to SCQF Level 7 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
