Apprentice Sprinkler Fitter

About the role

Relapath is recruiting multiple Apprentice Sprinkler Fitters for a direct-hire role in Sioux Falls, SD. This position offers a hands-on, learn-while-you-earn opportunity tied to a registered apprenticeship program, ideal for launching a career in fire safety. You’ll work alongside licensed journeymen to install, modify, and service fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of sprinkler piping, heads, hangers, and related components following approved blueprints and NFPA 13/13R/13D standards
• Cut, thread, groove, and join pipe using hand and power tools
• Help with system testing, flushing, and inspections
• Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Attend all required apprenticeship classes and complete coursework on schedule
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Enrollment in, or eligibility for, a UA (United Association) or equivalent registered apprenticeship program
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and stand for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license preferred
