About the role

Ahern offers a 4–5 year Sprinkler Fitter Apprenticeship in Appleton, WI, and the Green Bay, WI, area. Apprentices work under a collective-bargaining agreement alongside journeymen sprinkler fitters to install automatic fire-protection systems. The program combines on-the-job training with five years of related coursework, culminating in Journeyman status and over double the apprentice hourly rate.

Responsibilities

• Install automatic fire-protection systems under the supervision of a journeyman sprinkler fitter
• Complete five years of on-the-job training and corresponding classroom coursework
• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and climbing, in both indoor and outdoor construction environments

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Clean driving record to operate company vehicles
• Ability to travel for the position
• Pass a drug screen, background check, physical, and reference checks
• Self-starter with a strong mechanical background
• Positive working and learning attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
