• Located in our Springfield, IL facility and reporting to the Service Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist with HVAC service and installations including testing equipment, mounting equipment, performing diagnosis, adjusting refrigerant, and wiring controls.
• Collaborate with HVAC Service Technicians to run service and installation jobs.
• Assist in replacing, repairing and installing HVAC and refrigeration units.
• Power wash HVAC equipment units.
• Run performance maintenance calls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and enrolled in Apprenticeship program.
• Ability to communicate with internal team and customers.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Physical Demands

• Must be physically able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment including electronic and diagnostic tools, recovery equipment, and various other HVAC equipment.
• Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or materials.
• This position requires: stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
• Physical demand requirements are at levels of those of medium work.

Work Environment

• This job operates primarily alone on HVAC and boiler equipment in all environments, which includes extreme cold or heat depending on the time of year.
• Vehicles are used as the base of operations.
