- Mentoring & Career Development: Serve as a mentor and positive professional role model for program participants; help students understand career pathways within information technology, cybersecurity, systems engineering, networking, cloud computing, technical support, and related industries; reinforce professional expectations including communication, accountability, problem-solving, teamwork, punctuality, and workplace professionalism; help participants connect their technical competencies to specific occupations and career opportunities; support participants in developing confidence, persistence, professional identity, and independent problem-solving skills; collaborate with workforce development and case management staff to support participants experiencing barriers to program completion.
- Student Performance & Accountability: Monitor attendance, participation, academic progress, certification readiness, and overall student performance; maintain accurate and timely student records in designated organizational systems; provide regular progress updates to program leadership and appropriate case management staff; identify participants at risk of falling behind and initiate appropriate instructional interventions; participate in student progress meetings and contribute to individualized support plans when necessary; support organizational goals related to program completion, certification attainment, employment readiness, and job placement.
- Technology Lab & Program Support: Assist with maintaining functional and organized technology labs and instructional environments; support the configuration and troubleshooting of computers, software, peripherals, networking equipment, virtual environments, and other instructional technology; help ensure equipment used for training reflects current industry practices whenever possible; maintain appropriate cybersecurity, data privacy, and equipment-use practices within instructional environments; recommend technology, software, equipment, and instructional resources that strengthen program delivery.
