Applications Analyst-Business (Epic PB/HB)

About the role

The Business Applications Analyst will support and optimize Eisenhower's Epic revenue cycle environment, with a focus on Professional Billing (PB) Claims and Contracts. This role partners with operational and IT stakeholders to enhance workflows, resolve issues, and ensure accurate claims processing and reimbursement configuration within Epic.

Responsibilities

• Supports the core functions of Eisenhower business applications to enable cost-effective, high quality, efficient, and safe patient care.
• Implements, administers, and supports assigned business systems under the guidance of senior members of the team.
• Has a thorough understanding of assigned applications, ancillary systems, and health system operations.
• Addresses issues and design decisions of moderate to high complexity and delivers clear communication and documentation of complex concepts and issues related to applications, interfaces, data structures, and workflows across the organization.
• Collaborates with other information technology teams including System Administrators, DBA, Networking, Reporting, and the Help Desk to implement changes using documented procedures that are compliant with department's policies and procedures.
• Provides solutions to work orders, trouble tickets, and projects for assigned departments.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a healthcare IT environment, with a focus on revenue cycle management and/or Epic.
• Experience with Epic Professional Billing (PB) Claims and Contracts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of healthcare terminology and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with Epic EHR and its modules, particularly Professional Billing (PB).
• Understanding of healthcare financial processes and reimbursement methodologies.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Experience with database administration and SQL.
