About the role
The Application Testing Supervisor (Hybrid) oversees the personnel management of all Application Testers, providing direction, mentorship, and coaching while receiving guidance from management. This role defines the test strategy and approach, ensures application quality, and leads quality assurance efforts.
Responsibilities
- Manage the assigned application testing team, providing guidance, direction, and leadership.
- Oversee daily tasks of individuals within your span of control.
- Develop, cultivate, and evaluate employees.
- Assist with staff maintenance, including recruiting, selecting, orienting, promoting, and terminating employees as necessary.
- Provide input and feedback to the Business Unit Manager and Division Manager to support decision-making.
- Promote collaboration across teams to identify needed changes or modifications to existing programs.
- Set and approve employee work schedules.
- Verify and approve timekeeping records and address any discrepancies with employees.
- Document performance feedback and other personnel matters.
- Develop and drive a high-level QA strategy and implement it hands-on.
- Provide testing, project management, and technical assistance where needed.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to identify emerging trends.
- Execute strategic business plans to improve or remedy key indicators.
- Establish, develop, and present testing topics and new technologies.
- Assist with company-wide prioritization of projects, requests, and resources.
- Recommend design improvements and assist testers in achieving high-quality testing standards.
- Stay current with technology trends through trade magazines, websites, seminars, and continued education.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Report potential issues that may impact the company to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with related experience demonstrating the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Skills
- Ability to organize and lead highly effective teams of testers.
- Ability to prioritize and execute multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience with all facets of the software development life cycle.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Pay
Salary Range: $59,819 - $96,375
Schedule
40 hours per week, hybrid (3 days in office per week). Exempt position.
