Test Supervisor

About the role

The Test Supervisor at Teledyne Technologies Incorporated will oversee the production testing of SolidTron products, focusing on quality control and process improvement. This role requires strong leadership skills, coordination across departments, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff to ensure testing analysis meets quality standards.
• Schedule workflow to meet customer deadlines and monitor throughput.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure resources are available.
• Read and interpret testing requirements and procedures.
• Draft and update standard test procedures, test instructions, and work routers.
• Provide feedback to improve testing efficiency and yield.
• Ensure product conformance and sign off on CoCs.
• Train and motivate staff, set goals, and assess training needs.
• Develop new laboratory methods to increase product flow and improve standards.
• Communicate area performance, interruptions, and safety concerns to all levels.
• Ensure safety, housekeeping, and cleanliness in the assigned area.
• Oversee preventative maintenance and calibration to ensure timeliness and budget adherence.
• Accountability for own actions and those of subordinates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technical field or Associates degree plus 3 years of manufacturing experience.
• 2-5 years of previous supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years of prior manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions safely, accurately, and promptly.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, professional environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well with others and under pressure.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Full compliance with testing procedures and company ES&H policies.
• Competence in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Familiarity with ISO/AS9100 regulated environments.

Physical Requirements

• Conduct daily and weekly audits involving walking and/or standing for up to 8 hours per day.
• Push and/or pull carts weighing up to 50 lbs.
