Position Overview
The position provides leadership, experience, knowledge, and expertise towards the implementation of new applications and the support and optimization of existing applications.
Required
- Five (5) years Health Information Technology experience
- Experience in an analyst role providing application support, debugging, clinical or business workflows, and problem solving
- Experience in an analyst role using standard project management tools
- Three (3) years of experience leading teams and managing small to medium sized projects
- Two (2) years of experience managing vendor relationships
- Two (2) years of experience in workflow analysis, including the use of modeling software (e.g., Visio)
- Proficient in two (2) or more areas of core clinical or business information systems
PREFERRED
- Bachelor's Degree
- Previous experience supporting pharmacy systems
- Experience with ServiceNow, and Citrix
- Project Management Certification (PMP)
- Two (2) years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above)
- Fluency with Microsoft Office 365
- Clinical experience/license/certification
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Manages small- to medium-sized projects as directed by Information Systems management
- Participates as a lead or primary support analyst for Information Systems projects
- Responsible for the completion and coordination of related tasks
- Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking, and collaborative relationship-building skills
- Affords assistance to the manager with supervisory-related tasks as directed
- Functions as a resource for Level I and Level II analysts
- Acts independently and/or within a team environment to achieve project, department, or organizational objectives while remaining open to management and end-user input
- Led and/or participates in various interdepartmental work groups or committees as an application subject matter expert
- Provides operational support for applications, including troubleshooting, maintenance, training, and vendor interaction
- Impartially analyzes new and/or potential software enhancements, identifying present and future business needs
- Works with end-users to ensure modifications are appropriate and consistent with Information Systems standards
- Provides clear and concise training and documentation on applications and operational processes
- Makes meetings with internal and external end-users, ensuring documentation is clear and understood
- Analyzes, identifies, evaluates, and documents end-user needs
- Assesses current applications to determine whether system requirements, regulatory requirements, and daily operational requirements are met
- Analyzes current processes and programs for enhancements to improve data integrity, workflow efficiency, and end-user satisfaction
- Aids end-users in satisfying both ad hoc and ongoing information needs
- Responsible for timely and accurate problem resolution
- Utilizes standard documentation and the help desk system as daily tools
- Escalates problems to appropriate resources (e.g., colleagues, vendors, and/or Information Systems management) when required to ensure timely resolution
- Advises and consults with end-users on the functional capabilities of various Community Memorial Healthcare applications to enhance productivity and support essential job functions
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops
- Maintains awareness of current technologies, including other related areas of information services
- Aids in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
