Application System Analyst III

Position Summary

We are seeking a candidate to serve as a liaison across different Revenue Cycle areas, focusing on charges. This role involves collaborating with various departments like patient access, clinical, ancillary, revenue integrity, HIM, coding, and billing.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and deactivate charges
• Manage work queues within Cerner Millennium and Oracle Health Patient Accounting (OHPAC)
• Support revenue cycle implementation projects from a charging perspective

Requirements

• At least 4 years of Cerner Millennium Charge Services build experience
• Experience and proficiency with Cerner Charge Services build applications, including Pricing Tool, Charge Viewer, Charge Transformation, Tiering Logic, Miscellaneous Setup, and related applications
• Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming/build of systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and installing to support an organization's application system
• Consults with team and users to identify current operating procedures and clarify program initiatives
• Writes documentation, including manuals, CSC Knowledge Base, and SOPs, to describe program development, logic, coding, corrections, installation, and operating systems
• Working knowledge of relational databases and client-server concepts

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, nursing, or related field required (or 2 additional years of related experience can be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree)
• 4 years of related experience required
• Clinical/financial experience as it relates to healthcare IT preferred
