About the role
The Application Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Registrar’s Office and Student Affairs departments through the planning, implementation, maintenance, and support of software applications. They ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and college policies/procedures, and are responsible for coordinating and leading projects that integrate software applications with the College’s enterprise system.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates and leads projects integrating internal and external software applications with the College’s enterprise system.
- Researches, analyzes, and resolves system problems/inefficiencies in collaboration with technical staff, leadership, end-users, and third-party vendors.
- Designates user access for Student Affairs to internal software applications, third party service providers, and row level security in Peoplesoft Campus Solutions.
- Aids in creating, maintaining, and setting up the Registrar’s Office annual production and Academic/Term Session calendars.
- Creates functional design specifications, outlines test cases, and ensures system testing for compliance with procedural, policy, or state regulation changes to the college’s enterprise system.
- Develops and maintains technical and functional documentation compliant with college brand standards, including standard operating procedures, instruction guides, and tutorials.
- Creates and administers department electronic communications for student and faculty notifications.
- Trains staff members and other stakeholders on best practices in the use of internal software applications and third-party web service websites.
- Provides guidance to department staff on projects goals and outcomes.
- Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
- Four years of experience working with ERP systems, such as Peoplesoft.
- One year of technical experience using Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution in Information Technology or related field.
- Experience working with PeopleSoft Query.
- Experience with Peoplesoft Campus Solutions or related ERP systems in higher education.
- Experience in higher education with focus on enrollment management business processes.
- Team lead or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Develops and maintains expert technical and operational knowledge of registrar’s office core functions; excellent organizational, research, and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot, research, and resolve root cause issues; excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills; excellent Microsoft Office 365 skills; ability to work cross-functionally, lead projects, and facilitate trainings; ability to work with staff of different technical aptitudes and communicate technical information to a non-technical audience; ability to become proficient in SQL; ability to work independently; ability to demonstrate a professional, courteous demeanor; committed to working in a multicultural environment.
