Application Support Manager (Administrator I)
About the role
The Application Support Manager reports to the Senior Director of Enterprise Applications and provides leadership and direction for the reliable, efficient, and innovative delivery of applications that enable Chico State’s administrative and business operations. This role builds strong partnerships across the Division of IT, with campus stakeholders and external vendors, to drive strategic technology investments, continuous improvement, and user satisfaction. The manager fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence in support of the University’s mission and IT Strategic Plan.
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction for the reliable, efficient, and innovative delivery of applications that enable Chico State’s administrative and business operations.
- Led a team of IT professionals responsible for supporting and enhancing a diverse portfolio of university systems, ensuring that projects, implementations, upgrades, and integrations are executed effectively and aligned with institutional priorities.
- Built strong partnerships across the Division of IT, with campus stakeholders and external vendors, to drive strategic technology investments, continuous improvement, and user satisfaction.
- Fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence in support of the University’s mission and IT Strategic Plan.
Requirements
- Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Three (3) or more years of experience managing or leading IT application support or development teams.
Preferences
- Experience with enterprise application ecosystems or integrations.
- Experience with ITIL or other service management frameworks.
- Demonstrated commitment to EDI and customer service excellence.

Pay
Anticipated Hiring Range: $90,00 - $110,000 per year. Salary commensurate with education and experience of the individual selected.
Schedule
Full-time, Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm.
