Application Specialist, P&HS, North
About the role
The Application Specialist, P&HS, NA, North Region will focus on the development and support of Kemira Total Chemistry Management Solutions, including products, control and monitoring solutions, as well as consultative services. This is a remote position to be located in Northern US.
Responsibilities
- Support and implementation of Kemira's strategy with the sales team, using best in class methods.
- Develop and support new verticals in services offerings to customers.
- Coordinate between New Ventures, Strategic Growth, and Sales Teams across a large commercial region.
- Utilize internal tools like Salesforce to identify key opportunities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the local sales team for technical consultations.
- Perform general administrative tasks, including supporting business activities within a large commercial team.
Requirements
- A four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of product lines, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the field.
- Strong understanding of paper process chemistry, with specific experience in retention/drainage chemistries.
- Prior commercial experience preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Expert-level understanding of the papermaking process and finished grades.
- Ability to develop and present chemical program recommendations and proposals.
- Proficiency in performing statistical data analysis to evaluate program performance.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to understand and support corporate and product line strategies.
- Minimum 50% travel required.
