Application Engineering Technician

Responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on laboratory testing and material application evaluation
- Perform all laboratory work safely, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, and 5S
- Execute lab testing, generate test data, documentation, and laboratory reports for assigned projects
- Communicate basic observations regarding data and/or experimental outcomes
- Employ basic problem-solving skills to overcome project bottlenecks and maintain project deliverable dates
- Demonstrate expertise in programming robots and working with various curing and dispensing technologies
- Train other technicians on equipment operation and/or test procedures
- Maintain ownership and safe operation of assigned equipment
- Report laboratory results and methods according to accepted company lab practices; communicate results, reports, and observations to internal/external customers
This role requires working onsite in Madison Heights 5 days a week.
Requirements
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, biology, or a science field
- 1 year of experience working in a chemical laboratory is preferred
- Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical, and mechanical data
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as a team member and independently
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Uses good scientific judgment, statistical analysis, root cause identification, and robust solution implementation

Pay
The salary range for this role is $65,000.00 to $70,000.00. This range represents the good-faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
