About the role

The Application Engineer at CB Pacific plays a crucial role in supporting sales, system design, troubleshooting, and optimal product usage. They provide product solutions and recommendations in partnership with Business Development Managers to drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Draws on technical and product knowledge to support sales, system design, troubleshooting, and optimal product usage.
  • Determines which flow meters and valves are best suited to specific applications.
  • Understands industrial instrumentation and mechanical principles of valve operation.
  • Reads, understands, and interprets product datasheets.
  • Develops quotes and bids for various projects.
  • Handles all correspondence and inquiries from customers and account managers regarding product application, technical information, process details, and quotation preparation.
  • Aids customer and/or account managers in addressing questions related to product specifications.
  • Performs flow meter and control valve sizing/selection as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3-6 years of related experience.
  • Deep knowledge of product lines and related technologies.
  • Understanding of customer processes and business practices to identify optimal solutions.
  • Knowledge of discounting, margins, and multipliers.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Typically Monday through Friday, with some flexibility based on business and personal needs.
