Job Description
The Application Analyst III at Singing River Health System is responsible for advanced knowledge of various applications and serving as a bridge between vendors, end users, and team members. Key duties include conducting regular communication with internal teams, application vendors, clinical and business representatives, and subject matter experts to tailor systems to organizational needs. The Analyst III also assists in analyzing workflows, data collection, and other technical issues, supports end users and operational stakeholders, and acts as a support contact.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, clinically related field, or relevant experience may be considered
- Current certifications in Epic applications, including completion of required training to maintain certification
- A minimum of three to four (3-4) years’ experience in developing, implementing, operating, or maintaining information systems in an integrated healthcare delivery system, including hospitals and/or clinics
- Previous installation experience with healthcare systems databases and interfaces in hospitals and/or clinics or with a healthcare system vendor required
- Project management execution experience on medium to large projects required
Education

Experience
- A minimum of three to four (3-4) years’ experience in developing, implementing, operating, or maintaining information systems in an integrated healthcare delivery system, to include hospitals and/or clinic settings

- Project management execution experience on medium to large projects required
Physical Demands
- Moderately sedentary work involving sitting with frequent movement to stand, walk, and travel within the SRHS service area
- Exerting a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body
- Repetitive motions: substantial wrist, hand, and finger movements while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard, copier, and 10-key
- Close visual acuity and ability to adjust eye focus to compare data at close vision
- Ability to work flexible hours and participate in a rotating on-call schedule with other members of the Epic team

- Intermediate knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio)
