Responsibilities
- Work with the Mortgage line of business to assist them in achieving business objectives through effective development and support of business applications.
- Manage the Black Knight mortgage application and a variety of in-house applications supporting Mortgage Servicing.
- Write specs for new application needs.
- Implement applications.
- Support and test existing applications for various issues and updates.
- Work independently with minimal guidance to contribute to design, configuration, build, and daily support of solutions.
- Actively engage with business partners to solve business problems.
- Continuously improve user experience and enterprise efficiency; turn ideas into deliverable and valuable business solutions.
- Support and manage current applications: develop in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of appropriate software applications used and supported by the Mortgage line of business; continually build product knowledge; manage, coordinate, and provide consultative support to day-to-day functioning of business line clients; provide superior customer service to external/internal clients, including response to incidents, proactively notifying customers of issues, assessing and communicating business impact, and identifying root cause; lead monitoring and testing of new releases and systems, as well as changes and fixes to existing systems, to ensure effective implementation; analyze system logic and use evaluative judgment to make recommendations and implement enhancements or fixes; communicate and address complex application problems/issues and planned resolution to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders; clearly communicate complex technical solutions in a manner understandable to internal customers and other partners; must be able to understand, generate, and amend technical documentation in addition to completing formal process documentation.
- Facilitate enhancements in line with changing business needs: create and foster partnerships with internal stakeholders to develop a solid knowledge base of the business, including needs and opportunities related to application/IT platform solutions; formulate and define scope and objectives for changes through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of business systems and industry standards; document requirements; research and review new or upgraded application functionality with business partners to help them prepare appropriate training and procedures updates; develop and cultivate relationships with vendors and external industry contacts; work closely with vendors to ensure third party applications operate as documented; provide intermediate to complex analysis, supporting the planning and implementation of systems and upgrades, and process changes.
- Compliance and risk: prepare documentation of changes for internal and external auditors, and other regulatory agencies, as needed; maintain current knowledge of industry developments including changes in technology and regulations; review and monitor analytics, statistics, and relevant data/information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, or related technical discipline, or equivalent work experience.
