Application Administrator

About the role

We’re seeking a dynamic Application Administrator to lead the operation, support, and enhancement of critical business and engineering applications. In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate with a diverse team to ensure our applications run seamlessly, underpinning innovation and operational excellence in a DEI-conscious environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize enterprise applications supporting mission-critical business and engineering workflows
• Provide tier-3 support, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement solutions efficiently
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Develop, maintain, and document SOPs and configuration guides

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in application or system administration, supporting mission-critical enterprise solutions
• Strong expertise in managing both Windows and Linux server environments
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
• Knowledge of security protocols, including Azure AD/SAML and SSL Certificates
• Familiarity with database concepts and SQL interactions (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently
• Effective documentation skills and the capability to develop SOPs and configuration guides
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening upon offer
• Willingness to work 4 days per week in Foster City, CA, with a focus on fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace culture focused on equity and respect

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• At least 5 years in roles supporting enterprise applications, preferably within engineering environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with License Management tools like OpenLM
• Skills in network, storage, virtualization, and user administration
• Understanding of hardware/storage cluster coordination and migration projects

Pay

The pay range for this role is $41 – $78 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
