Appliance Technician - Facilities & Maintenance

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is the flagship casino resort of Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. This world-renowned entertainment, gaming, and hospitality destination features a $1.5 billion expansion with 1,271 upscale guestrooms, a 42,000 square-foot Rock Spa® & Salon, a 13.5-acre recreational lagoon, 19 dining outlets, 20 bars and lounges, an expansive gaming floor, premier meeting and convention space, and a 7,000-person Hard Rock Live entertainment venue. Located on 87 acres of the Hollywood Seminole Reservation, the resort is 10 minutes from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and 30 minutes from downtown Miami.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
• Perform all preventive maintenance on kitchen and refrigeration systems and maintain applicable log books.
• Conduct walk-through inspections and perform routine maintenance of walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-ins, ice machines, dishwashers, mixers, ovens, stoves, and all other related equipment.
• Change water filters and repair minor air and water leaks.
• Maintain quality of air, air flow, and temperature at on- and off-site facilities; adjust valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system.
• Use Freon gauges to safely recharge or evacuate Freon from equipment; record gauge readings, repairs completed, and time lost due to inoperative equipment.
• Work on high voltage equipment and follow lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigerated HVAC package units.
• Order parts, maintain inventory levels, and read technical manuals.
• Prioritize projects to ensure minimal interruption to business operations.
• Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Perform all other related and compatible/non-compatible duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or technical certificate.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with commercial/industrial refrigeration equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Work Environment

• May be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including secondhand smoke and excessive noise.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, taste, or smell.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced, often crowded, and noisy.
