Groundswell is a premier technology integrator and solution provider dedicated to addressing complex challenges faced by federal agencies. As part of our mission to drive change at a rapid pace, we are seeking an experienced Appian Business Analyst to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Support Product Dev Managers in defining MVPs and release plans for Appian applications.
  • Conduct requirement discovery, data modeling, process improvement/reengineering analysis, and user interface design.
  • Collaborate with Product Dev Managers and technology stakeholders to define new and enhanced product requirements and functionality.
  • Collaborate with Product Dev Managers to prioritize feature enablers within the product roadmap.
  • Deliver and maintain user engagement analytics to characterize users and support case studies.
  • Work continuously with teams to provide answers, feedback, and direction on work items, enablers, and user stories.
  • Consult Product Dev Managers for guidance and clarity on the product vision, roadmap, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team to prepare estimates for user stories within the product backlog.
  • Conduct formal reviews and acceptance of user stories implemented by a team.
  • Identify, track, and manage risks; escalate when necessary.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Design and implement complex data models based on customer application requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis and requirement refinement for information systems.
  • Strong communication skills at all organizational levels (written and verbal).
  • Detail-oriented with experience working on multiple products simultaneously.
  • Experience using common process-based documentation methods including use cases, Agile user stories, and process modeling.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
  • Local to the DC Metro area and able to report to a SCIF location.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of hands-on Appian solution implementation experience.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $74,230.00 - $142,250.00

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
