Appellate and Litigation Support Attorney

Responsibilities

• Work with trial counsel to provided litigation and trial support in insurance defense related matters.
• Handle all aspects of appeals.
• Attend trial if necessary to serve as appellate counsel and provide trial support.
• Conduct legal research, assist with preparation for hearings, and provide legal counsel to clients.
• Analyze legal matters, advise clients, and negotiate on their behalf.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and clients to ensure efficient case management.
• Maintain up-to-date client files for easy access by the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 5 or more years’ experience working in insurance-related law (e.g., first and third party actions, insurance coverage and bad faith, personal injury, auto liability, premises liability, property damage, and/or products liability).
• Strong legal research and writing background.
• Florida Bar Admission.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
• Must meet billing goal expectations.
