Responsibilities

  • Order, stock merchandise and maintain assigned section.
  • Maintain fixtures, displays, and signing.
  • Train, coach, and direct associates.
  • Perform production and customer service functions.
  • Maximize store sales and profits safely and ethically.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Flexible to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights.
  • Willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to make intelligent decisions quickly.

  • Related retail work experience.
  • Familiarity with apparel sales terms and processes.

  • Ensures compliance with relevant policies and standards.
  • Performs various tasks including but not limited to:
    • Stock displays with new or back-stock merchandise.
    • Divisional signing, recovery, and merchandising standards.
    • Ticketing standards.
    • Corporate policies.
    • Planograms and composites.
    • Shrink control guidelines.
    • Coordinates and organizes merchandising.
    • Ensures on-hand integrity and RMS updates.
    • Builds and maintains vendor relationships.
    • Receives and processes freight.
    • Processes inventory control functions.
    • Ensures ads and promotions are set to standard.
    • Processes salvage.
    • Prepares for physical inventory.
    • Processes returns/exchanges.
    • Conducts stock counts.
    • Builds ends and displays.
    • Maintains awareness of current market trends.
    • Engages with customers and sells products.
    • Sells products to customers.
    • Participates in mandatory training programs.
    • Performs cashier functions, when required.
    • Processes mail.
    • Maintains awareness of overstock/understock conditions.
    • Responds to verbal customer comments/complaints.
    • Assists in the inventory process.
    • Writes Intersection Transfers.
    • Manages P & L responsibilities, seasonal sets.
    • Processes mismates.

Qualifications

  • Related retail work experience.
  • Familiarity with apparel sales terms and processes.
  • Past work record reflecting dependability and integrity.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant policies and standards.
