What you'll bring

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current or eligibility for Virginia licensure and appropriate national certification
• A passion for Family Medicine and delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
• Primary care experience preferred

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner program or an accredited Physician Assistant program required
• Experience: 1 year of clinical experience preferred; additional experience may be required based on specialty
• Licensure, certification, and/or registration:
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • Nurse Practitioners must also hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
  • Must be eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine
• Life support: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required as appropriate to the position
• Other minimum qualifications:
  • Maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of Carilion Clinic, the Virginia Board of Medicine or Nursing, and applicable certifying bodies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and standard computer systems required

Pay

Compensation range: $107,993.60 – $172,785.60 annually. Employee pay is based on qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
