Pay

$109,629–168,787/year

Schedule

• 40 hours per week, primarily daytime
• Additional on-call and evening shifts as needed
• Occasional evening work once per week (currently Thursday) until approximately 7 pm

About the Role

The General, Endocrine & Metabolic Surgery (GEMS) Inpatient APP collaborates with a multidisciplinary healthcare team and functions as a member of the general surgery management team. This role involves managing all aspects of patients from admission to the operating room and discharge.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate consults in the emergency room and hospital setting
• Conduct daily patient visits and coordinate discharge
• Document in the electronic health record
• Assist in the operating room
• Handle outpatient responsibilities, including assistance with faculty clinics and/or autonomous evaluation of hospital follow-up care

Requirements

• MSN for Nurse Practitioners or BS for Physician Assistants
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) certification, or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)
• No prior experience required
