About the role

Grow sales in a manner that protects and strengthens APCO’s reputation in the sign industry for excellence in product and service.

Responsibilities

• Establish APCO as the premier source for architectural signing and displays in the territory.
• Pursue new sources of business.
• Build relationships with clients and customers.
• Build long-term relationships with all who influence buying decisions: End Users, Designers, Architects, Facility Managers, Property Managers, General Contractors, and select Sign Companies.
• Act as the liaison between end users and the Sales Support Team at APCO.
• Present APCO’s AIA Continuing Education Classes to designers and architects in the territory that work in our markets (higher ed, government, healthcare, corporate, etc.).
• Make product presentations in conjunction with AIA CEUs and whenever requested or accepted.
• Develop and present sales proposals, budgets, samples, etc.
• Provide timely Sales Projection Reports, Call Reports, and Expense Reports.
• Build relationships with major influencers in the territory.
• Respond to customer complaints and help resolve problems.
• Make periodic visits to the factory to gain knowledge of new products and procedures.
• Perform any additional duties that may be required to reach objectives.

Requirements

• Sales talent, energy, and ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Good organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Ability to handle multiple ongoing projects.
• Ability to read and interpret customer-supplied documents for pricing and sample specification purposes.
• Sign industry knowledge or ability to learn quickly.
