Apartment Maintenance Technician - Villages at Pecan Grove

About the role
We are hiring a Maintenance Technician to work onsite at our apartment community in Holly Springs, NC. AIR Communities uses industry-leading technology for a modern approach to maintenance so our Maintenance Technicians can help as many residents as possible each day. Whether you are turning an apartment to create the perfect move-in experience for new residents or resolving service requests to ensure that our current residents feel at home, every day is filled with new challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent service to residents and assistance to team members.
- Follow AIR’s process for completion of basic apartment turns to make the apartment ready for the next resident’s perfect move-in experience.
- With general direction, complete resident-requested repairs and routine maintenance (i.e., troubleshoot and repair/replace plumbing, basic electrical components, HVAC equipment, and appliances, etc.).
- May provide functional/technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians and support the development of technical skills.
- May assist with managing vendor quality and may perform move-in/move-out inspections.
- Responsibilities vary based on team member skillset and community needs, mechanical systems, and season.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in some form of facilities or building environment.
- Proficient skills in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality), and on-call shifts (at least one week a month).
- A reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours.
- Comfort with physical activity as you must be able and willing to move heavy equipment and machinery.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Pay
Expected hourly rate of $21.00 - $25.00 per hour. You will be provided a pay rate that is in line with your skills and experience as they relate to the requirements of the job. Quarterly Customer Service Satisfaction Bonuses: Technicians who excel at consistently providing positive resident experiences can earn up to $1,500 per quarter.
Schedule
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, 7-day work weeks (depending on community needs and seasonality).
- On-call shifts (at least one week a month).
