Apartment Maintenance Technician- Richton Park

Bender Companies is seeking a skilled and dedicated Apartment Maintenance Technician to join their team at their community in Richton Park. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively
• Complete resident service requests and work orders promptly and professionally
• Maintain property grounds by removing trash, leaves, branches, and other debris to keep common areas clean and attractive
• Support the completion of unit turnovers and make-readies, including painting, repairs, and cleaning as needed
• Affirmative action statement
• Assist in preventative maintenance efforts to extend the life of property systems and equipment
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies
• Deliver notices and communications to residents as directed by management
• Participate in an on-call schedule for after-hours maintenance emergencies
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Reliable transportation to get to work
• 1+ year of experience in apartment maintenance, facilities, or residential construction
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, vendors, and team members
• Familiarity with basic repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, and appliance maintenance
• Ability to work independently, follow directions, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

Pay

The pay range for this role is $21 - $22 per hour for Carriage Creek Apartments.

Schedule

This position will require you to work on-site at the property in Richton Park, Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional weekend work as needed.
