About the Role

City Center on 7th is a 700-plus-unit community in Pembroke Pines, generating significant maintenance volume. This technician role is central to daily operations, handling resident repair requests and apartment turns between tenancies.

A typical day moves fast—starting with a punch list from a recent turn, shifting to a plumbing call, and troubleshooting an HVAC unit before the day ends. Work orders are routed and prioritized using technology, ensuring visibility for both you and your supervisor.

Make-readies are a key responsibility. Preparing apartments for move-in requires attention to detail and the ability to spot issues others might miss. At this scale, turns happen regularly, directly impacting residents' first impressions.

Repairs span plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances. You need solid working knowledge in at least two of these trades—licensed contractor status isn’t required, but you must be capable of fixing issues correctly the first time without supervision.

Requirements

• At least two years of maintenance experience in a facilities or residential building environment
• Proficiency in two or more trades: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, or carpentry
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts at least one week per month
• Reliable personal transportation for after-hours emergency response
• Physical ability to move heavy equipment and machinery as part of regular duties
• Ability to read, write, and speak English

On-call responsibilities are a core part of this role. After-hours calls are expected, and compensation reflects this demand.

Pay

Hourly rate ranges from $20 to $24, depending on skills. Technicians who consistently earn strong resident satisfaction scores can receive up to $1,500 in quarterly bonuses.
