About the Role

AIR Communities is hiring a Maintenance Technician to work onsite at City Center on 7th Apartments, a 700+-unit community in Pembroke Pines, FL. The role leverages industry-leading technology to streamline maintenance tasks and maximize resident satisfaction.

Location

Conveniently located in Pembroke Pines, FL, with easy access to shopping, dining, and major highways. The community is a short drive from The Shops at Pembroke Gardens, Publix, and Fort Lauderdale.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent service to residents and assist team members.
  • Follow AIR’s process for completing basic apartment turns to ensure move-in readiness.
  • Complete resident-requested repairs and routine maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, electrical components, HVAC equipment, and appliances.
  • May provide functional/technical direction and training to other Maintenance Technicians.
  • May assist with managing vendor quality and perform move-in/move-out inspections.
  • Responsibilities vary based on skillset, community needs, mechanical systems, and seasonality.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in facilities or a building environment.
  • Proficiency in at least two technical trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, 7-day workweeks (depending on community needs), and on-call shifts (at least one week per month).
  • Reliable transportation to respond to emergency service requests while on-call after hours.
  • Comfort with physical activity, including moving heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Pay

Expected hourly rate of $20.00–$24.00, based on skills and experience. Quarterly Customer Service Satisfaction Bonuses of up to $1,500 may be earned for consistently positive resident experiences.
