About the role
The Apartment Leasing Agent reports to the General Manager. This position is responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the property to ensure customer satisfaction, fiscal stability and good physical condition.
Responsibilities
- Aid in leasing efforts to ensure full lease-up and maintenance of high occupancy levels
- Mailing of renewal offers, logging of responses and managing property availability
- Audit and maintain accurate records of availability compatible with the lease renewal report
- Review, approve, enter and present rental applications to the General Manager for execution
- Manage property licenses and the renewal process by liaising with legal counsel and the City
- Handle check-outs to ensure compliance with final account statement requirements
- Inspect vacated units and ensure accurate and efficient lease and resident check-ins
- Investigate and respond to resident concerns and complaints in a timely manner
- Prepare weekly reports related to the property's performance as required
- Develop and implement advertising/marketing programs to position the property in the marketplace
- Develop and implement resident retention programs
- Communicate courteously with residents, applicants, employees and vendors
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing and typing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance
- Ability to operate various office equipment including fax machine, copier, telephone, personal computer, typewriter, calculator, adding machine, key machine, key card system and vacuum
- Strong computer skills and math ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Knowledge of Entrata (preferred)
- Accurate in numerical analysis and transfer of related data
- Accurate in preparation of documents to ensure grammatical and legal correctness
- Compliance with all federal, state and local laws
- Positive, professional and enthusiastic attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Logical thinking and ability to follow standardized procedures
