ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Check schedule of coils to be run to insure correct coil is on the line.
- Receive communication from Entry of coil number running and observe for any incoming defects.
- Monitor coils in line for steering and defects, correct as necessary.
- Work with the Pickling/SKP operator while performing all functions at the SKP/TLU.
- Work with the Pickling/SKP/Trim operator while performing set ups on the side trimmer and during the side trimming operation.
- Start the coil to the Coiler Reel and insert interleaving paper and cores as per work instructions.
- Ensure that there is an ample supply of the correct interleaving paper and cardboard cores readily available.
- Properly identify coils exiting the unit as per work instructions and enter all machine sheets.
- Follow all prescribed safety rules.
- Housekeeping/maintenance work as assigned.
- Any other jobs as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Participation in relevant continuous improvement programs.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of High School Degree or Equivalent (GED).
PHYSICAL ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Mobility in plant
- While performing the duties of (this job), the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, etc.
- The employee is frequently required to make use of their hands for technical tasks
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Visual ability with or without correction
- Communication abilities
HEALTH AND SAFETY

- Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or clothing to the Supervisor or Manager immediately
- Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that is required to be used or worn: Safety shoes Safety glasses Hearing protection Hard Hat
- Some areas may require additional personal protective equipment such as: Respirators; the respirator requires you to be clean shaven in order to comply with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations. Fire Retardant clothing Acid PPE
- Report to the Safety Coordinator, Group Lead or Supervisor any contravention of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations or Company policy
- Must follow all Lock out Tag out (LOTO) guidelines for designated machines
- Must follow all Environmental Policies and Regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
