AP/CP Hospital Surgical Pathologist

About the role

The selected pathologist will provide professional oversight and direction of anatomic pathology services including quality assurance functions, medical directorships where indicated (per CLIA).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional oversight and direction of anatomic pathology services including quality assurance functions, medical directorships where indicated (per CLIA).
• Case work will include surgical pathology biopsies, hospital cases, breast, lung, GI, GU, GYN, peripheral blood smears, and cytology.
• FNAs and Frozen Sections are expected.
• While this is a two person team at a hospital, you are part of a team that is remote; overflow work or consultations to colleagues at AmeriPath in Memphis is quick and easy with digital pathology capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in an inpatient and/or outpatient laboratory setting
• Previous experience in management of other physician (i.e., pathologists) and/or laboratory personnel
• Board Certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology
• MD or DO degree
• Possess, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted Medical License to practice in the state of Tennessee, and other states as necessary
