Anticipated Educational Technician III for Life Skills - SM High School

About the role

RSU #73 is seeking a caring, compassionate, and patient individual to join the special education team at Spruce Mountain High School. The program serves students in grades 9-12 with a range of academic, functional, and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide curriculum support to students
• Plan and deliver academic and functional instruction under the supervision of a supervising teacher
• Introduce new learning to students
• Maintain records of student progress on academic, functional, and behavioral skills
• Support students with personal care needs when required

Qualifications

• Eligible and apply for or have authorization as an education technician III through the Maine Department of Education (MDOE)
• Must meet Maine State Law requirements, which include fingerprinting and passing a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) for Department of Education experience
• Prior experience working with children or adults with disabilities is preferred, though not mandatory
• Highly motivated, organized, and skilled at clear communication
