Anticipated Educational Technician I for Life Skills - SM Elementary School

About the role

RSU #73 is seeking an Educational Technician I for Life Skills at Spruce Mountain Elementary School. The position serves students in grades 3-5 with a range of academic, functional, and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Closely collaborate with the special education team to manage student behaviors and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior plans.
• Deliver academic programming in consultation with the special education teacher, supporting students in both small groups and one-on-one settings.
• Support students in the regular and special education setting.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible and apply for or have authorization as an Education Technician I through the Maine Department of Education (MDOE).
• Maine State Law requires all school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
• Prior experience working with students with social and emotional challenges is preferred.

Training

Training will be provided to new hires.
