About the Role
The Airborne Antenna Design department in McKinney, Texas delivers full-scope Independent Design, Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions for antenna products. This includes architecture trades, design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of antenna systems and associated integrated system verification solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy Radio Frequency (RF) passive circuits (radiators, RF manifolds, RF transitions, etc.) and electromagnetic (EM) modeling.
- Implement best-practice standards for planning, coordination, and execution of RF passive circuit design and EM modeling with disciplined engineering processes and leadership.
- Follow established procedures and instructions while collaborating with program and functional leadership to meet overall design objectives.
- Develop technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
- Periodic travel may be required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, including any combination of:
- Passive circuit design and/or EM modeling.
- Structured design processes, root-cause problem solving, and on-time/on-schedule task execution.
- Experience with test equipment such as Antenna Ranges, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and/or Power Meters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, Matlab, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to provide input or guidance to lower-level engineers.
- Capability to manage conflicting or non-existent requirements in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $68,900 – $131,100 USD.
