Antenna Design Engineer II

Location: McKinney, Texas (onsite role at 2501 W University Dr, WING D BLDG)

U.S. citizenship is required; ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance is mandatory from day one.

About the Role

The Airborne Antenna Design department in McKinney, Texas delivers full-scope Independent Design, Verification & Validation (IV&V) solutions for antenna products. This includes architecture trades, design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of antenna systems and associated integrated system verification solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Radio Frequency (RF) passive circuits (radiators, RF manifolds, RF transitions, etc.) and electromagnetic (EM) modeling.
• Implement best-practice standards for planning, coordination, and execution of RF passive circuit design and EM modeling with disciplined engineering processes and leadership.
• Follow established procedures and instructions while collaborating with program and functional leadership to meet overall design objectives.
• Develop technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems.
• Periodic travel may be required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience, including any combination of:
  • Passive circuit design and/or EM modeling.
  • Structured design processes, root-cause problem solving, and on-time/on-schedule task execution.
  • Experience with test equipment such as Antenna Ranges, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and/or Power Meters.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, Matlab, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to provide input or guidance to lower-level engineers.
• Capability to manage conflicting or non-existent requirements in a rapidly changing environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $68,900 – $131,100 USD.
